  • How to register and pay for the event

If you are attending the event (or any other this year) then you will need to become an SWA life member. This will cost you 5pounds and is spent on equipment used at events, prebooking venues etc, the SWA invests any money it takes straight back into the events and all the SWA team are unpaid volunteers. (unfortunatly for us!!) You can pay this joining fee pre-event and can pay using the 'SWA membership payment' link on the right hand menu when you login to the site or alternatively we can tkae cash at the event registration on friday.

If you are XSWA then you must pre- pay for AK4 online, follow the Exstudent link in the main menu on the right in order to do this. (SWA life membership is included in your prices)

  • Beginners

If you've never stepped on a board before then this is the group for you. You will be taught by RYA qualified instructors in a safe, sheltered environment with plenty of rescue cover. All the basic windsurfing techniques will be tought and you'll have the oppertunity to put it all into practise on the water.

  • Intermediates

    • 1- Beachstart and Harness

This year we've split the intermediate group into 2 so the first group will be going through beachstarting and harness work.

If you can do all the basic stuff on a beginner board and want to move on to more exiting things then this is the group for you. Once again we've got RYA qualified instructors on hand to get you on the board and hooked in. We'll be running a series of on land simulators and obviously getting you all very wet aswell.

    • 2 - Waterstart and Footstraps

This is the more advanced of the two groups for those who can already beachstart and use the harness and are looking to progress onto waterstarting and getting in the footstraps.

This will be run in a similar format to group 1 with on land simulators and on water coaching designed to get you cruising at top speed.

  •   Advanced

The advanced fleet is aimed at those who can waterstart and are in the footstraps. We will be running two clinics for the advanced which everyone can take part in.

    • Speed and Race Technique

We have RYA Olympic youth coach Oli Woodcock and top UK sailor Hugh Sims- Williams along with SWA's race and speed guru's Big Bob Joylove and Pete Boustred coming along to give you some first class tuition on and off the water. There will be demo kit from F2 along with their speed gun so you really can see who's fastest.

    • Freestyle

We have got Jem Hall and Jim Collis, two of the UK's top pro coaches, coming down to give you guys some top class freestyle tuition. These guys have tought litterally millions of people to windsurf and we've got them right here for you. If you have never even thought about freestyle then these guys will be able to get you started.

  • Speed challenge

In addition to the tuition we'll be hosting the first of the SWA speed challenges. You'll get the chance to see who's fastest using the F2 radar gun. There will be a speed competition at a number of the events throught the year and the results will be posted on the results section of the site. At the end of the year the fastest sailor will be crowned king of speed. So start eating theose pies!

  • Freestyle competition

As usual at an Aussie Kiss event we'll be hosting the first of the SWA/Boardwise freestyle competitions. And as usual there will be some fantastic prizes. You'll be able sign up for both of these competitions during the event.
