After a very early start in Bristol 20 keen UWE and Bristol University beginners and intermediates arrived at Wimbleball Lake on a chilly February day to rig up the kit that hadn't been rigged up even earlier by the hardcore elite that opted for an extra night's camping. The event was Bristol's Boot Camp, a mini event for beginners and intermediates, with the focus switched from mincing by the lake and epic, life changing fancy dress parties to actually getting out on the water, taking on the cold, and leaving the weekend a better windsurfer.

PONDLIFE VI… Goes Grown Up!

That’s right, for the 6th consecutive year Nottingham University & Rutland Water will be hosting Pondlife; and this year, it’s all grown up!

3 students from Falmouth Marine School have taken over the role of organising the annual Southwest Lakes Trust Windsurfing Rally as part of their University course. People from all over the country will be coming back to the Southwest to attend the 3-day event at the windiest lake in Britain – Stithians Lake!

This April saw the final installment of the 08'-'09 SWA series, with Southampton's "Windstock" BUCS Windsurfing Nationals bringing the year to a powerful finish. Read on for more details.
