The Student Windsurfing Association

You may have heard we’re in the running for a Sports England Grant! This grant will help us source some lovely new kit for you all to use at events but we do need a little help from you all to secure it.

They have asked that we provide feedback from CURRENT members of the SWA to inform their decision making so we (mainly Rhea and Seb) have created a form to here this. You’d be doing us a massive favour by filling it out and it can be found by clicking here!

Windy love always!

I was going to start this with a clever quip or line but really the only thing that feels appropriate to say is a massive thank you. Truly this was the best AK in recent memory and that is down to you all, so, thank you all for making it such a memorable weekend!

Okay, I can’t think of any more rhymes so welcome to ‘What to Expect from AK22’!

On the 26th and 27th of August, we hosted our annual committee training (formerly known as presidents training). This comprehensive training equipped university windsurf committee members with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and positively impact campus. As many committee members are on season and thus couldn’t attend on the weekend we are sharing the slides presented at the weekend so that people don’t miss out.

The topics covered were:

  • Planning
  • Welfare
  • Freshers
  • Socials
  • Events
  • Finance
  • Windsurfing

Below will be a short description of the sessions and their accompanying slides.
